The Ministry of Economy 26 March this year, once again issued a public call for testing string of digital television receivers for the reception of DVB-T, which is currently ongoing and is valid until revoked. So far, the only reported the call-for-profit public institution Sintesio Bled. As previously reported, Slovenia string will be no later than 1 December of the next year off of analogue TV transmitters and fully switched to digital broadcasting. Then they will have all the fans who only monitored TV via terrestrial antenna, buy a digital string television, or at least a digital interface ("set top box") for the reception string of DVB-T. Already at the beginning of this year to promote the glass transition string to digital string broadcasting organized by the Ministry of Economy, although for some reason string has not yet started.
This is the second (question, but if the rear) testing of digital receivers, string which was tendered by the Ministry of Economy. Even the first, which ended over a year ago, has passed Sintesio Institute in cooperation with the subcontractor companies Telesis from Murska Sobota. In this test the eight receivers only two received a rating of satisfactory. How many receivers will be tested this time is not yet known, since it is optional testing. string Receivers that are relevant, they will get a certificate (label), but this does not mean that the market should not be sold as sets without labels. We can assume that they already own distributors take care of it, it will not be sold digital receivers, which would not be compatible with the standard MPEG-4, which is in force in Slovenia.
In the Monitor wonder whether such (optional) testing string of digital receivers were needed and it is intended primarily to finance "non-profit" institution Sintesio, whose founders are Ċ½eljko Puljic, member of the Board of Telekom Slovenia, Dr. Janez Bester, head of the Laboratory for Telecommunications at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Bogdan Topic, CEO of Istrabenz (first test is cost taxpayers string 46,800 euros). The high quality of supply in the market acting alone, the market, with customers helping specialized magazines. Even in the Monitor was this year's special summer issue dedicated to TV and other video devices for the living room already published thirteen test receivers DVB-T test, it will be published in the future.
